“Providing Advanced Life Support to Hamilton County Residents and Visitors”

The Hamilton County EMS Department operates a full time Advanced Life Support (ALS) service with two fully manned ALS units on call 24 hours a day seven days a week. EMS is staffed with a Director, 13 full time field personnel, 21 part time employees and four ALS transport units. The quality of service is excellent and we are always striving for improvement.

Hamilton County EMS works closely with six Volunteer Fire Departments that supplement the EMS department by providing First Responders through Memorandum of Understandings. We have expanded our AED (automatic external defibrillator) program to include all of the 6 VFD’s. Additionally, HCEMS sponsors an EMS Explorer post for young people interested in the field of emergency medical services.

Hamilton County actively participates in the Bureau of EMS grants program. Through the EMS awards, rural and matching grants, HCEMS has been able to obtain; communications equipment, transport units and educational materials to better promote Emergency Medical Services in Hamilton County.
